I was able to attend their meeting the other evening, and it was great to see a full house! The club has welcomed 13 new members in just the last month, which says a lot about the excitement and support surrounding this organization.
One of the main topics discussed was Trap Shooting for Shenandoah School, and I’m excited to see that come to fruition. With other local schools already having trap teams, this would be a great opportunity for Shenandoah students and another positive way to support youth, outdoor sports, and our local community.
Batesville Sportsman’s Club is a members-only club with open membership and a strong connection to the local community. From outdoor traditions and club events to supporting local causes and youth agriculture, this is the kind of organization that helps keep small-town community spirit alive.
The club has hosted events like turkey shoots and community gatherings, and has also shown support for local youth through the Noble and Guernsey County Fair sales as well as supporting the Noble County Cattlemen’s Association .
Places like Batesville Sportsman’s Club are more than just a club — they’re part of the fabric of our rural communities. It’s exciting to see local people showing up, getting involved, and working together to keep these traditions going for the next generation.
